You still want to rinse your filter with hot water, as you pre-heat the ceramic, then “pre-wet” the grinds with a minimal amount of water for 30 seconds. After that, you can pour slowly to fill the cone to it’s full volume, then add hot water until the correct ratio of water and ground coffee is met.
