Blagu Coffee Roasted, Rwanda Inzovu

Rwanda is known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills,” many of them are cultivated in high-grown coffee between 1700 and 2000 meters above sea level.
Coffee grown in rich, fertile volcanic soils with a range of 1400-1900 meters was gathered from small-hold farmers in Inzowu

Rwanda coffee can be world-class. They often have clean bright flavors rivaling the best Central America coffees, more balance than Kenyas, attractive fruited sweetness, floral characteristics, and with a tea-like finish

The wet aroma has a wonderful honey base note, with smells of spiced tea released in the steam when breaking through the crust. The cup has a buttery toffee flavor when medium roasted, layers of caramelizing sugar sweetness and buttery flavor characteristics giving way to clove and cinnamon powder top notes. A touch of bittersweet candied lemon peel comes through as the coffee cools, as well as an accent of English Breakfast tea in the aftertaste. Medium roasts construct a chocolate undertone, with a finishing flavor of chocolate raisin and snickerdoodle cookies
